Pet Gundog - Scent Work

Scentwork Beginners

Ideal for: any age, any breed!
Whether you have a playful puppy or a senior companion, scent work is a fantastic way to engage their natural abilities.
Course Objective: This course is designed for dogs and owners with no prior experience but is equally suitable for those who have already dabbled in scent work.
Scent training is brilliant for building a strong connection between dog and handler, boosting confidence, and enhancing teamwork!
Course Details:
Duration: 6 weeks (2 hours per session)
Maximum of 4 dogs per course

Pre-Course: Odour Conditioning Kit
Before the course begins, you'll receive an odour conditioning kit to start building your dog's scent recognition skills at home!
Week 1: Introduction - Handlers only
Week 2: Free Work and Pairing Odours
Week 3: Scent ID
Week 4: Linear Search Patterns
Week 5: Building Strong Foundations
Week 6: Fun Scenario Search
We wrap up the course with an exciting scenario-based assessment to put your skills to the test!

Fun Pet Gundog Beginners

Ideal for: any age, level or breed.
Course Objective: To introduce pet gundog owners to foundational gundog skills in a fun and engaging way, strengthening the bond between handler and dog while fulfilling their dog's natural instincts.
Course Details:
Duration: 6 weeks (1 session per week, approximately 50 minutes per session)
Maximum of 4 dogs per course

Focus: Retrieve, basic obedience, breed-specific training, recall, lead handling, and mechanical skills of the handler
